the 2021 AAMI Foundation & ACCE Robert L. Morris Humanitarian Award was given to Antonio Hernandez on June 10, 2021 by the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) and the American College of Clinical Engineering (ACCE). 

The Humanitarian Award recognizes an individual or organization that has leveraged healthcare technology to improve global human conditions.

Antonio is a consultant on health technology, a former staff member of the PAHO/WHO; former representative of the Global Harmonization Task Force (GHTF) for Medical Device, former Chair of ACCE International Committee, and current Collaborator of the Clinical Engineering Division of the International Federation for Medical and Biological Engineering (IFMBE/CED).
